San Diego Area Writing Project

Founded in 1977, the San Diego Area Writing Project (SDAWP) is a teachers-teaching-teachers organization. Part of the California Writing Project and National Writing Project networks, the SDAWP is dedicated to the improvement of writing for ALL students. The site maintains an exemplary 43-year reputation in the professional development of K-16 educators. We believe that writing is critical to learning and a vital tool for communication and should occur regularly in all classes across the curriculum.
