Roz The Diva

NASM certified Roz “The Diva” Mays has dedicated many late nights at the gym to becoming a stronger and healthier athlete. Pole dancing is her sport of choice, followed by TRX, strength & conditioning and flexibility.  Hi Beyonce.  She teaches obnoxiously loud classes at Body & Pole, IncrediPOLE and Brooklyn Fit Lab in New York City.  She’s also the subject of Dangerous Curves, a documentary featured by the New York Times.  When she isn’t half naked and sweaty, Diva’s usual making pancakes with Beyonce.

Founded in 2012 by Roz The Diva, Dangerous Curves is the first series of pole dancing competitions and showcases that celebrates plus size athletes.  The brand has produced nine events across the country, including three all-star showcases at the International Pole Convention.  In 2016, Roz graciously passed the title of Head Diva to Tausha Ostrander, but is still DC’s #1 cheerleader.

DC is coming back to NYC in 2018 for another bomb ass competition, and the very first pole camp exclusively for plus size dancers.  Over President’s Day weekend, #teamDC will be coming through with classes designed for less experienced athletes.  We’ve got workshops, a photoshoot, VIP seats to the competition . . . and after hours debauchery.
