Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI)

The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I) is a grant-making charity which helps farming people in financial difficulty. Tailored to individual needs, confidential support is given to farmers and farm-workers of all ages, including state benefits’ advice and one-off or regular grants, as well as funding for things like specialist equipment, essential household goods, care home and home help as well as hospital travel costs.

R.A.B.I does not pay business bills but can pay for relief farm staff if, for example, someone is unable to work through illness or a family member is ill. R.A.B.I supports around 2,000 farming families a year with grants of around £2milllion.
