Robert Garner Firefighter Foundation

“Robert died living his dream and those that knew him knew he wouldn’t have had it any other way.” – Nicole Garner

2002 Scarborough High School Graduate

2003 Airforce- 2 tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq

2010 Joined the Houston Fire Department

On May 31, 2013 the Houston Fire Department experienced the deadliest day in its 170 year history. On this day four firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice. Our brother firefighter and friend, Robert Garner, was one of four to perish.

This charity was established in his honor, to continue his dream of being a firefighter. By providing scholarships that will allow future firefighters to attend local fire academies, Robert’s love of the job and commitment to service will always live on and allow others to be a part of the profession he was passionate about. With the contributions of local business and individuals we can all be a part of Garner’s dream.
