About Queens Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1953 by Maestro David Katz, the Queens Symphony Orchestra is the largest and oldest nonprofit arts institution in Queens and one of the largest orchestras in New York City. All QSO musicians play not only for the Queens Symphony, but also for the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Ballet, the New York Philharmonic, Broadway Productions, and more. All Queens Symphony Orchestra Musicians are members of the highly competitive union, Local 802 AFM.
