Project Cross Point is HEALING CHILD ABUSE by working with interfaith religious organizations and worshiping communities to become sacred guardians of the children.  We are in collaboration with the University of Minnesota Center for Restorative Justice & Peacemaking, and recognized by the St. Paul Archdiocese, and accepted by the St. Paul Ramsey County Attorney’s Office.

Healing is an evolving process with many stages. Much of it is based on a relationship between those in pain and the community that support them. Healing begins with an informing process that allows for interactive conversations to begin between people without risking safety and trust that has not been established. Information is valuable. However, the primary magic of healing is found woven into the relationships that are created between the individuals who share information together. It’s not the information itself; it’s the connection with another. Healing is often broken up into parts in our science-based world. Sickness is diagnosed and ailments are separately treated. But this only works well for temporary repairs of physical ailments, and does little for those distressed with underlying emotional and spiritual constitutions. It has been known over the ages that a communal process is what resources health and vitality. This starts with a conversation that becomes understanding. Understanding generates meaningfulness. Meaning is what shapes trust. And trust is what creates safety for all involved. The emergence of a communal trust allows for individual healing to happen.
