Progressive Black Women Coalition

Our Purpose

 

The Progressive Black Women Coalition of Escambia County Florida is a nonprofit public corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person, officers, members and or directors. Progressive Black Women Coalition was formed exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code A. Our organization is designed to benefit, ameliorate, or uplift mankind, mentally, morally, or physically by providing; relief of the poor, the distressed, underprivileged, lessening neighborhood tensions, defending human and civil rights secured under law, and combating community deterioration aimed, respectively, at fostering community well-being.

 

The Progressive Black Women Coalition of Escambia County Florida will not take part in legislative and political activity prohibited by section 501(c)(3) No substantial part of the activities of the corporation shall be the carrying on of propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the corporation shall not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distribution of statements) any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for political office. Notwithstanding any other provision of these articles, the corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted to be carried on (a) by a corporation exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
