Prince George's County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Under the leadership of businesswoman and educator, Ethel Mae Rogers Grundy and 22 other dynamic professional women, Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter (PGCAC) was chartered on March 31, 1974. More than four decades later, PGCAC continues to embrace change in meeting the challenging and evolving needs of the diverse communities in our beloved Prince George’s County.  Reflecting back to 1913, emulating the unrelenting 22 college-educated women who founded Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the members of PGCAC continue to promote academic excellence and provide customized assistance to persons in most need.  The Chapter provides distinct programs that emphasize economic and educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.  Collectively, the officers and over 800 members of the Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. value the extraordinary opportunity to respond to the expanding needs of the community.  This is accomplished through a passionate, unified commitment to public service embraced by dedicated, talented members and loyal, generous community supporters.
