Picosa embraces an eclectic range of repertoire in its unique approach to programming. Our concerts present celebrated masterworks side-by-side with rare finds to make each concert program feel like a new discovery. With a body of repertoire that ranges from baroque to new experimental, for soloists to full ensemble, Picosa presents every work with sublime artistry and athletic virtuosity.
We embrace the music of Chicago by featuring new works by locally based composers each season. Additionally, our Interludes Chamber Ensembles program gives us the opportunity to teach and feature student and adult-amateur small ensembles (duos and larger) of all ages in pre-concert performances. Our Breaking Ground Young Artists program gives opportunities for accomplished young musicians to perform in concert with the ensemble. For more information on these programs, please contact Jennie Brown at PicosaMusic@gmail.com.
Additionally, we are privileged to bring music to underserved communities through our partnership with Hesed House. Hesed House is a national model for ending homelessness – one person, one family at a time. For more information, please visit www.HesedHouse.org.
