Dr. Patricia Ferguson is a graduate of Detroit Public Schools, Henry Ford High School, valedictorian c/o 1980. She attended Wayne State University, and graduated 1984 with a BS Biological Sciences. She also graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine, with a MD degree in 1988. She completed her residency training in the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Providence Hospital, in Southfield, Michigan. She maintained a Practice, as a Board Certified, Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and enjoyed a thriving practice in the metropolitan Detroit area throughout her 25 year career in the field. Her particular areas of interest were Adolescent Gynecology, Preventative Health Maintenance, emphasizing a holistic approach to healthy living, Menopausal Medicine, Minimally Invasive GYN surgery using Robotic Technology, and establishment of a weight management program called Why Weight?. As of 2014, She has transitioned to Corporate Medicine, and works as a Physician Consultant in Case Management for BCBSM. She is a wife, mother of four adult children, physician, and serial entrepreneur. She is a member of Life Church Southfield where she plays keyboard for the Praise Team. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a founder of the non-profit organization, Each One Teach One, designed to mentor and encourage academic excellence and achievement among youth and young adults in the community. In her spare time she enjoys golf, tennis, and spending time with her family.
