Once Upon A Time

Glenda Reed is a victim and survivor of childhood sexual molestation by close relatives. These incidents altered her childhood and her life in a way that she does not want another child to experience.  So, she decided to do something about it.

 “Once Upon a Time,” a 501c3 non-profit organization was formed out of the need for awareness to the lasting effects of a child being sexually molested.  Our endeavor is to prevent as many children as humanly possible from going through life emotionally scarred by the trauma they suffer.

At our inception, we celebrated other women who have, like Glenda, been through the ordeal of childhood sexual molestation.  Women who have been able to forgive their abusers and have moved on and are living positive and productive lives are celebrated during an Annual Gala in October. Those who are still struggling with forgiveness are provided counseling by Certified Counselors to help them through that journey.

We've expanded our mission by adding preventive classes for children and their parents.  Every child deserves a "fairytale" childhood that should not be interrupted because of someone else's sexual desires and lust.  Each child and parent will learn the signs and strategies of the molester so that they can be equipped to avoid the advances.
