Mission:  The North Florida Land Trust is cultivating a legacy for our children through the protection of natural and cultural resources in North Florida.


North Florida Land Trust

  • Community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization begun in 1999
  • Serves seven counties:  Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns
  • Partners with landowners, local government and environmental organizations
  • Member of the national Land Trust Alliance  


Protects land and special places by:

  • Creating conservation easement- permanent deed restrictions that limit development
  • Purchasing environmentally sensitive properties
  • Brokering to bring together buyers and sellers dedicated to the preservation of special places
  • Accepting donations of cash, stock, endowments for stewardship, and properties
  • Enlisting volunteer efforts by concerned citizens who value our region’s natural beauty, clean water and air, healthy ecosystem and quality of life
