North Central Behavioral Health Working Group

The North Central Behavioral Health Working Group (NCBHWG) is a committee created through State Represtative W. Curtis Thomas of the 181st Legislative District. Our mission is to utilize the Positive Youth Development Model to comabat issues related to violence affecting school age youth ages 13-17, we hope to provide resources, tools, and behavior meanagment strategies to educators. Our vision is to protect and heal youth through trauma informed education. Some of our other areas of focus are bullying, domestic abuse, anger management, stress management and social media.

Given the rise of violence among youth and the many mental, physcial and social implications of violence, we believe it is important for youth to have opportunities and access to enviroments (home, school and community) that contribute to their safefty and healthy development over time.
