New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra

The New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1895 by Miss Mary D. Fife of Penacook, NH. In 1905, the NH Phil established itself as an amateur arm of the Manchester Insitutue of Arts and Science under the musical direction of Professor Rudolph Schiller. The Orchestra has performed every year since -- making it the oldest and longest running orchestra in NH.

Today, the Philharmonic ranges in size from 55 to 70 members, ranging in age from high school on up, and offers a 5-concert season performing each concert twice. Musicians come from around NH and MA and are expertly led under the direction of Maestro Mark Latham. In 2018, the NH Philharmonic established the NH Philharmonic Chorus.
