Myko is currently a Junior at NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study. A dancer of over a decade, she began her artistic pursuit at three years old at the Lula Washington Dance Theatre in her hometown of Los Angeles. It was there and at Hamilton Music Academy she was trained heavily in ballet, contemporary, and modern. Dancing at Hamilton offered her many artistic opportunities, including winning a National Award for her co-choreography with her soulmate-in-dance, Kaivalya Brewerton, and dancing for Pharrell Williams on the 86th Academy Awards. At Hamilton, Myko also discovered her love for activism. She joined Girls Learn International, a subsidary of the Feminist Majority Foundation, and was selected as a representative to attend the United Nation's 58th Commission on the Status of Women in NYC and speak at the Global Women's Rights Awards. Her love for art followed her through to college, where she began in 2014 as a student within NYU Tisch's New Studio on Broadway: Musical Theatre department. It was during her time as a Tisch Student she found her passion for songrwiting, singing, and theatre, and learned the enhancing effect these mediums have on the other. With this knowledge came the transfer to Gallatin School, and this company marks the first steps of her journey. She hopes Big Bang Productions will grow into an artistic movement that can educate our society of living inequalities to improve the plight of minorities and women worldwide.
