Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio. The MWCD was created in 1933 and was responsible for the devleopment of reservoir and dams for flood control purposes.  Today the MWCD is dedicated to providing the benefits of flood reduction, water conservation, and recreational opportunities within the Muskingum River Watershed.

The MWCD offers a variety of recreation opportunties at 10 campgrounds and nine marinas on eight lakes throughout southeastern Ohio. There is something for everyone with boating, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking and more!
