Arab Cinema Week is New York's first festival dedicated to Arab Cinema with daily screenings of movies from across the Arab World, and panels with celebrity actors and directors.

Its debut in 2016 featured award-winning films such as As I Open My Eyes (Tunisia), The Idol (Palestine), Nawara (Egypt), Yalla, Underground! (Germany), and Tickling Giants (US); as well as special appearances of Egyptian satirist Bassem Youssef, Tunisian actor Dhafer L'abidine and Egyptian rising star Jamila Awad.

This year, Arab Cinema Week takes place November 10-16 at Cinema Village in the bustling area of Union Square. Special guest is Hisham Faqeeh, Saudi comedian and star of Baraka Meets Baraka, which won best First Director Award at Berlinale Film Festival in 2016.
