Moroccan Spacenauts

The Moroccan Spacenauts is a Moroccan astronomical association created in 2016. Its main vision is to gather passionate people together, from different regions in Morocco, throughout events, trainings, competitions, and many more activities.

OUR VISION:

Establish an Astronomy pole in  south of Morocco which will contain Africa’s largest observatory as well as a research center that will be involved in the development of this science on a national scale.

OUR MISSION:

Gather all astronomy lovers including new ones in order to assist them through engaging them in events, training activities and research.

Also, establish new ethics and principles that will allow to vision a supplementary path towards new perspectives and realities throughout assisting research and development of astronomy on a national scale.

OUR STORY:

Space has always been, for ages, a synonym of the unknown and mystery. Humanity has been subjugated by space. It perceives it as an abstract world. For the sake of understanding this world of continuous mystery, humanity has indeed made discoveries as well as mistakes in order to come across new perspectives of reality. Thanks to all of that, today, we are a step close to conquer it. And it is at this point that our Club appears to help as much as possible to achieve that goal.

As we are passionate about astronomy and in want of making that knowledge accessible to everybody, we were very much encouraged by the idea of creating an astronomy club within our school named ENSASTRO at ENSA Agadir which led finally to launching our club by a group of students who shared the same interests. Now that only three year has passed, our club was indeed a huge success compared to being a new born club, all thanks to the public that showed a massive interest in our activities and never ceased to motivate and encourage us day after day in order to continue the good work. And this is why we decided to officially become the Moroccan Spacenauts Organization which gave a chance to all people who are passionate about astronomy to meet up and accomplish many tasks under one motivation that is vulgarization of astronomy.
