Mindful Walker captures the experience and appreciation of architecture, history, neighborhoods, culture, and nature through walking and exploring in a mindful way. Susan DeMark, a writer, tour guide, blogger, and journalist, created Mindful Walker and to delve into the living experience of architectural design, landmarks, buildings, neighborhoods, and the environment. Out of this experience, Susan has promoted activism on historic preservation, sustainability, climate change, and civic responsibility.

Susan's work and insights are profoundly influenced by Thich Nhat Hanh, the spiritual leader, author, and Zen master who teaches the value of mindfulness of our surroundings. She is a certified New York City tour guide and trained public historian.
