Mercedes Naomi


Mercedes Naomi is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Diversity Specialist within the federal government where she is responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives that will assist towards the overall efforts for building and cultivating an inclusive workforce through outreach, recruitment, workforce development and retention of those underrepresented.


She is an Army Veteran with over 16 years of Federal experience and the Founder and Executive Director of The Good News Community Kitchen (TGNCK). Under her leadership TGNCK has been featured on The Rachael Ray Show, Good Day DC, in Racheal Ray's "every day" Magazine, The Washington Post, Inside NOVA, The Renewal Project and many more publications. She is a Leadership Center of Excellence 40 Under 40 Honoree and received The National Society Daughter's of the American Revoluntion "Community Service" Award (Fairfax) in 2017. 


She is a Doctorate of Management student and holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland University College, Yellow Belt from Six Sigma, and is a certified mediator and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigator.

Mercedes Naomi is truly a career mom who focuses on balance. She maintains a full-time career and runs a successful non-profit organization while raising her family!
