McDonough Junior Women's Club (Georgia)

The McDonough Junior Women’s Club is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization for the local women of Henry County (Georgia) to give back to the community. Members meet monthly to prepare and execute service projects, as well as raise funds and awareness for worthy causes located in Henry County.

Our major fundraisers are our famous $2.00 tomato sandwiches made fresh on the McDonough Square during the Geranium Festival in the spring and our Casino Night and Silent Auction Event held in the fall. We are thankful for such a generous community that helps to make each of these initiatives successful. In the past year, we have been able to …

  • Be a Founding Member of the Henry County Ferst Foundation’s “10 for 10” Sponsors, funding new books for 10 children each year for the past 10 years
  • “Adopt” a senior citizen (through the Senior Center) and a child (through A Friend’s House) to fill their Christmas wish lists as well as a local child for a back-to-school shopping spree
  • Provide a $250 scholarship to ABLE Christian School’s STARS Program for children with Autism and other developmental delays, in partnership with Our World at H.O.P.E. Park
