MB Stage Productions

Make Believe Stage Productions was founded in 2011 by Jared Tyrel Pixler and Katie Lynn Mapel. The first production the company brought to the stage was Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida at the Bailey Bees Theater in Escondido, California. The company spent 2012 working extensively on original works that later premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2013. During the Hollywood Fringe Festival ’14, the company added David Evan Stolworthy to their production team and produced five shows for the season that ranged in style, format, theme, and genre. Some of their previous productions include: Jared Pixler’s Let me Out, David Stolworthy’s Roommates: A College Guide to Sharing Your Closet, Jessica Rau’s Book of Love, and various cabaret productions.

In 2015, MB Stage premiered THE VIDEO GAMES, an audience-interactive stage combat play that won two awards during the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2015; “The Encore Producer’s Award” for Outstanding Production and Robot Teammate + The Accidental Party’s “Would Coulda Shoulda Award” for Theatre Excellence and Improvisation. THE VIDEO GAMES is currently touring across Southern California at comic and gaming conventions and made it's off-off-Broadway debut in August 2016 with a future off-Broadway run in the works for late 2016 - early 2017.
