master RD Chin

R.D. Chin is a full-time Feng Shui Architect who is currently licensed as a New York State and New Jersey architect, author and teacher. Mr. Chin trained and worked with the late Paul Rudolph as an architect and further expanded his knowledge of the interior design field working with interior designer, Nina Hughes. He combines Western design principles with Feng Shui to align any space with dimensions of spirit, character, and a feeling of balance. In addition, Mr. Chin integrates his innate knowledge of his Chinese heritage with the wealth of insight gained from his travels to the Far East (China, Taiwan, Nepal, Tibet, India and Japan) as well as Europe and the United States.

He has a civil engineering degree (BSCE) from Tufts University and a masters degree in architecture (M.Arch) from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been trained under the tutelage of the late Grandmaster Lin Yun, Master Raymond Lo and other feng shui teachers. In 1993, Mr. Chin initially founded Space Alignment; it is now called  R.D. Chin, Feng Shui Architect, an architectural design consultant practice in New York City. He also teaches, welcomes everyone to group consultations, and performs blessing ceremonies.

He has also worked on proposals for an urban planning and housing development in the Netherlands and contributed a Feng Shui Proposal for the World Trade Center Memorial Competition with Colpacci Miclescu Architects, Amsterdam.

Recent projects include the corporate headquarters for Felippo Berio Olive Oil, NJ; Minko Law Offices, NY, The Law Offices of Jan H Brown, NY, and the newest community based affordable housing project for One Flushing, NY and the luxury residential for 150 Rivington which also included a feng shui blessing prior to demolition for the Streit Matzo factory.

He is author of Feng Shui Revealed: An Aesthetic, Practical Approach to the Ancient Art of Space Alignment published by Clarkson Potter of Random House. In addition, Mr. Chin has been interviewed for many newspaper and magazine articles, including the New York Times and Metropolitan Home. He has been featured on Lifetime Television and other major TV stations and recently on CCTV.  Mr. Chin is available for residential, commercial, and urban planning assignments throughout the world.
