University of the Pacific is pleased to announce the first Food Studies master's degree program on the West Coast, a course of study designed for working professionals with a career or personal interest in food and the ways that people grow, prepare and profit from it, historically and across cultures. The multidisciplinary program prepares students for success in food-related professions, ranging from food writing, food history, advocacy, policymaking and consumer research, to business-related pursuits. The program is offered at Pacific's new state-of-the-art campus in the SoMa (South of Market) district of San Francisco. Most classes take place in the evening and many students pursue the master's while working full-time.
