Mary Alice Duff | Well Sewn Style

Mary Alice Duff is the founder of Well Sewn Style, the DIY Style destination for women with curves. After the birth of her daughter, and with limited clothing options available in her size, Mary Alice was inspired to dust off her sewing machine to make fashionable clothes for her tall and curvy frame. Leaning on years of sewing lessons as a child from her grandmother and mother, Mary Alice began to scour the web in search of tutorials and online resources. Over the past two years, Mary Alice has thrown herself into honing her craft and taking a range of sewing and fashion design courses.

Realizing she couldn’t be the only woman who was challenged to find stylish items in her size range, Mary Alice started Well Sewn Style to help women struggling with the same issues find new ways to create their dream wardrobe. Through Mary Alice provides pattern reviews and pattern-hacks, styling inspiration, quick tailoring tips on ready-to-wear items and articles on body-positivity and self-love. Mary Alice’s personal style philosophy is that any woman can wear anything as long as it’s done so confidently.

Mary Alice has been featured on as both a contributor and model, and on the Curvy Sewing Collective Sewing for my Curves series. Currently, Mary Alice is a full-time clothing designer and owner of the ready-to-wear company and
