Marcella Kriebel Art + Illustration

Marcella Kriebel is an artist and cookbook author based in Washington, DC, best known for her vibrant watercolors, and dynamic line drawings celebrating food and words to live by.  


She teaches workshops regularly that celebrate culinary experiences, through the lens of visual art. 


Her sketchbooks, filled with hand-drawn, recipes from her travels in Latin America became the backbone for her debut cookbook, Mi Comida Latina. The publication of this gorgeous illustrated cookbook was initially funded thanks to a very successful of a Kickstarter campaign, where she raised over six times her monetary goal. Comida Cubana is the second book offered in Marcella’s unique style, featuring varied watercolor illustrations and unique layouts.  


Her work has been featured in Design Sponge, The Washington Post, and National Public Radio. Marcella is the creator of the collection Illustrated Feast, an extensive, open-edition series of watercolor prints available at select retailers, seasonal markets, online and at her studio on The Arts Walk, Brookland in Washington, DC.
