Making Cents International

Founded in 1999, Making Cents International is a woman-owned social enterprise based in Washington, DC.

As the host of the Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit, now in its eighth year, we offer positive youth development stakeholders a knowledge exchange infrastructure to support the development of high-impact, scalable, evidence-based, and sustainable programming.

With the goal of more youth obtaining decent jobs and starting and growing successful businesses, we use our knowledge management platform to engage funders, private sector companies, policy makers, youth leaders, implementers, educators, and researchers through:

Technical Services:

Increasing Economic Opportunities

Building capacity of local institutions to help youth, women, smallholder farmers, and vulnerable populations around the globe start and grow businesses, participate in profitable value chains, access finance, and obtain meaningful work.

Learning Hub:

An online learning platform that allows stakeholders to engage and contribute to the youth economic opportunities field’s knowledge base through virtual learning events, blogs, webinars, presentations, latest research, social media, and video interviews.
