Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee

Since 2000, Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee has been proudly serving 38 counties in our community. Approximately 1,500 children facing life-threatening illnesses have already received their wish and over the next 12 months, 140 more wishes will be granted.

The mission of Make-A-Wish is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Middle Tennessee chapter grants more than 130 wishes annually.

These wishes give children the chance to have moments of normal--- a break from doctor’s visits, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, blood tests, and time in the hospital. Most wish kids want what healthy kids take for granted: time with their family on a vacation, shopping at the mall, a backyard play set, or a trip to the beach. Wonderful things to look forward to, fantastic distractions for mom and dad to talk about with a sick child scared of the next treatment—that is what a wish give a sick child and the family that loves them.
