Lyrica Baroque

Lyrica Baroque is a unique gathering of musical talent who perform as a special kind of chamber ensemble. By blending the most compelling aspects of chamber music and opera, Lyrica Baroque represents a new expression of classical music, one that appeals to chamber music lovers, opera lovers, and symphony lovers alike.  The mission of Lyrica Baroque is to support a diverse community of students, teachers, artists, institutions and audiences of all ages through performance, education and collaboration. Lyrica Baroque seeks to promote the extraordinary musical history of New Orleans by performing accessible chamber and baroque music at the highest level of artistic excellence.

Lyrica Baroque's artists have achieved broad acclaim in violin, cello, oboe, bassoon, piano and voice respectively. By collaborating with guest artists, the ensemble can venture into many different kinds of musical territory, exploring a wider range of styles and bringing more variety and excitement to the group’s repertoire.  

Established in 2009, Lyrica Baroque is a two-time winner of Best Chamber Music Performance in Gambit Magazine’s Tribute to the Classical Arts. The group has performed in popular venues such as St. Mary’s Church in the Ursuline Convent, Tulane University’s Dixon Hall, and the St. Louis Cathedral and collaborated with celebrated organizations such as The Historic New Orleans Collection, New Orleans Friends of Music and the New Orleans Opera Association.

Lyrica Baroque offers a high level of excellence that is both visually captivating and artistically inspiring. Their unmatched versatility, coupled with truly stellar performances offers a new and exciting experience in classical music.
