Long Island LEADS is a nonprofit organization and a founding member of Nation of Makers. It is formed for the educational purpose of promoting the Maker Movement and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) initiatives for kindergarten - 12th grade public school, private school, and homeschool children on Long Island, NY. Through Maker Meetups and the annual SLIME - Students of Long Island Maker Expo, school-community connections support Long Island youth to develop the 21st century skills necessary to become college, career, and life ready.
