Literacy Assistance Center

The Literacy Assistance Center (LAC) is a non-profit professional development and technical assistance organization dedicated to improving the quality of adult literacy services.

Since 1983, we have been working to strengthen and expand the Adult Basic Education (ABE), High School Equivalency (HSE), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teachers and programs that serve New York’s most educationally disadvantaged and economically marginalized adults.
