Lisa Johnson, Chief Storyteller

Story U teaches leaders and brand builders how to be influential storytellers. Our lively interactive training sessions are grounded in powerful brain science and tailored for leaders, sales teams, creatives, entrepreneurs, fundraisers, and change agents of all kinds.

As Story U’s Chief Storyteller, Lisa Johnson is an expert in the science behind influence and change. She is the creator of Story U’s six workshops and a unique suite of story-building tools. For the past three years, Lisa has exclusively taught her storytelling curriculum to executives globally at Nike and Google. Her story methodologies are also taught at Stanford University in their MBA program. 2017 marks the first time that this powerful training will be available outside of these prestigious organizations.

A thought leader for the past two decades, Lisa is the author of several books including the critically acclaimed Don’t Think Pink which was chosen by Chris Murray as one of the top Marketing Books of all time in Marketing Gurus. Lisa’s marketing concepts have appeared in Harvard Business School’s Working Knowledge, the New York Times Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, and on NPR’s “Marketplace” and “All Things Considered.”  

Lisa loves the outdoors and some of her favorite memories have been biking around Oregon, kayaking for a week with a group of rowdy women in British Columbia, and waterskiing the many lakes in the Pacific Northwest. Lisa is a grateful cancer survivor and is currently living her "bonus life" with adventure and joy. She is a proud new resident of Nashville, TN where she lives with her husband, Dave of 25 years with their two dogs Scout and Mojo.
