Leslie Mason is a 1997 graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago, IL and worked in the Graphic Design industry for 9 years before changing career paths. Throughout her life she has studied fine art and has been creating for 21 years. Her main focus in fine art has been Abstract but in free time enjoys painting "fan art" by painting various characters from favorite television shows, comics and movies. She shows in galleries in the Midwest as well as local comic book shows and artisian markets.
She enjoys teaching Pints and Palettes because she loves working with people and connecting them to art.It is easy for people to relax at a brewery in a social setting.
"Everyone can learn to use painting skills as a form of relaxation, meditation or just to have fun. The best thing about art is that it is a form of play and as adults we constrain ourselves from this exploration most of the time because we all have chores, bills and the 'grown-up' things to take care of. I believe in teaching people some technique when they come in as well as encouraging them to relax and let creativity flow. they can take some of the things that they learn in my classes and apply them to painting at home. It is very rewarding for all parties involved."
