Meet the Kryolan USA education team: 


Jordan Plath Head of Education, Kryolan USA

Jordan Plath is a Makeup Artist with over twenty years industry experience working across creative, retail and commercial fields including film, television, theater, and live events. Jordan’s career began as an intern at the award-winning special effects studio, Creature FX Inc. in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in studio art, Jordan returned to Los Angeles to acquire professional training in makeup artistry at the prestigious Make-up Designory. Since then, Jordan has worked as a makeup artist and in special effects studios as a sculptor, mold-maker, and fabricator. Some of his work credits include:  Tron: Legacy (film), Deadliest Warrior (TV series), The Fly—The Opera (theater) and Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood (live event). Jordan currently serves as Head of Education for Kryolan USA and is a member of the Kryolan International Pro Artist team. 



Tim Pearson Head of Make-up, Kryolan City New York

Tim Pearson began his career in the world of make-up, through drag and theatrical productions, where he learned wig styling and costume fabrication. Pursuing a dream of be a part of something much bigger, he moved to NYC in 2007. In the time since arriving, Tim has had the opportunity to showcase his work in theater, television and film, as well as design editorial looks that have walked runways during NYFW. In a career spanning 18 years, Tim has worked as a freelance artist, consultant, and educator in beauty, fashion, fantasy and airbrush techniques. Tim has also enjoyed experiences in face/body painting and out of kit SFX. You can find Tim at Kryolan New York City, where he holds the role of Head Make Up Artist and Showroom Manager.



Becky Curl Educator, Kryolan City Chicago

Becky currently manages the Kryolan City Chicago retail store where she teaches a variety of workshops including Fantasy Make-up and Special Effects. She attended the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University and received a BFA in Theatrical Wig & Make-up Design. Becky has worked for theaters within the city of Chicago, as well as in several other cities including Las Vegas, where she interned on Cirque du Soleil's Mystere



Joel King Educator, Kryolan City San Francisco

Joel King is a professional make-up artist based in the Bay Area with over a decade of experience in the make-up industry. With proficiency spanning the mediums of commercial, print, fashion, drag, theater, and film, Joel offers a broad range of knowledge and skill. Since March 2017, Joel has been an integral part of the Kryolan Pro Make-up Artist team, and has taught a variety of workshops including Bridal Make-up, Drag and Make-up for Media.



Alex Benjamin Educator, Kryolan City Chicago

Alex Benjamin is a Chicago-based musician, performer, educator, and event producer. He received his BA in Theatre & Marketing from Northwestern University, and shortly thereafter helped found the drag and performance art collective SADHAUS. He has performed in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Wisconsin, and the UK. He also served as the guest artist for a class on drag & The Wizard of Oz at Northwestern University, and created Death Becomes Her, Chicago’s first and only drag queen ghost tour. He also leads tours with Museum Hack at the Art Institute of Chicago. He teaches drag, cosplay, gender transformation, fantasy makeup, and more.
