Dr. Kongpop U-yen received his Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, in 2007.  As a space weather enthusiast, he conducts independent research on new quantum physics and electrical theories that explain solar activities, how solar system is formed, and how planets interact with each other in space leading to space weather fluctuations and natural disasters. He provides public education and develops educational tools to enable global natural disaster forecast. As an engineer in his full-time work, he is the author and co-author of more than 42 technical papers and 6 patents (and 3 pending patents). He received the NASA Robert H. Goddard Engineering Award in 2014 and the Science & Technology Advancement Award from NASA Goddard’s Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate in 2011 and 2017.
