The French-American Cultural Foundation

Based in the Washington, D.C. area, the French-American Cultural Foundation seeks to enhance cultural and intellectual understanding between France and America.

Since its inception in 1998, the French-American Cultural Foundation has initiated many such endeavors with the French Embassy and La Maison Française (the embassy's performing arts complex).

The programs hosted by the French-American Cultural Foundation have attracted interest far beyond the walls of La Maison Française.  Several esteemed American cultural institutions — including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, the National Gallery of Art, the American Film Institute, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others — have partnered with us in our diverse projects.

The critically acclaimed programs we support include a concert series featuring baroque, jazz, cabaret and contemporary music; art exhibits; a drama festival for children; a film program, cinémathèque; and a month-long Francophonie celebration.

We are constantly seeking new partnerships, as well as innovative ideas for promoting French culture.

The French-American Cultural Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization to which contributions are tax-deductible.
