Kathryn Lovewell

Kathryn Lovewell is a passionate Mindful Self-Compassion teacher who has been teaching meditation and self-inquiry since 2006. Kathryn has trained with Kristin Neff PhD, the world leading expert in self-compassion; and qualified as a Journey™ Practitioner with Brandon Bays, internationally acclaimed mind/body healing expert. She continues to train with leaders in the field of Personal Development and Human Behaviour such as Dr. John Demartini and with the Institute of Positive Education.

 

For the past decade she has combined meditation, mindful awareness, therapeutic practices and positive psychology to create personal and professional development programmes to inspire emotional health and wellbeing. She has supported children and teens in care, young offenders, students, teachers, senior leaders, corporate executives, professional sportsmen and even prisoners. The extraordinary life-changing results of her Mindful Stress Management programme for men in prison demonstrates the potency of mindfulness, meditation and self-inquiry.

 

Kathryn is the author of the bestselling book Every Teacher Matters; Inspiring Wellbeing through Mindfulness. She has also written a Wellbeing and Engagement training programme for Optimus Education, as well as articles for The Huffington Post, The Telegraph, SecEd and other respected organisations such as The Teacher Development Trust and The Education Support Partnership.

 

Kathryn is the co-founder of The Teacher Sanctuary – a global online wellbeing resource for teachers which provides a plethora of practical wellbeing top tips through her Vlog. She is an award winning international speaker and trainer, working with organisations such as the National Union of Teachers (NUT), the Association of Independent Schools (AIE), the Institute of Education (IOE), the Association for Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) and the Positive Education Schools Association (PESA).

 

She spent many happy years as an enthusiastic Art and Drama teacher in mainstream secondary schools and supporting adults and young people with differing needs within in the community.

 

Kathryn maintains a prestigious private practice at The Inner Journey Clinic in Harley Street, London and continues to develop her knowledge and practice with innovative modalities such as Access Consciousness®.

 

Kathryn is the proud mum of two gorgeous teenage boys, lives with her inspirational partner Liz and fervently believes that mindful self-compassion, acts of loving kindness and being a contribution are pivotal to mind-health, wellbeing and happiness.
