Kathryn Ikle is a Memphis native and local artist. She is a graduate of Hutchison School in Memphis, TN. She studied marketing, art, art education, and graphic design at Rhodes College, Baylor University, and University of Memphis. Kathryn comes from a long line of artisans dating back to 1838. The Ikle family has produced over 1,450 beautiful textiles all over Europe for generations. Collections can be found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the International Folk Art Museum, the Cooper Hewitt-Smithsonian Design Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Textile Museum of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
