Kathleen Merritt for St. Anthony of Padua University

Organizer for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston's  Diversity and Inclusion initiatives locally and nationally.  Kathleen served as the group leader for diocesan delegates to attend the National Black Catholic Congress XII and was appointed by Bishop Guglielmone as a delegate on the Diocesan team for the USCCB Catholic Leaders Convocation. Both National gatherings took place in Orlando Florida July 1-9th. She is also a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Greenville.   Her Pastor, Fr. Patrick Tuttle, OFM,  requested that she facilitate a parish "share the knowledge"  presentation with the St. Anthony of Padua Delegation that attending the these conferences. St. Anthony parishioners'  Deacon Phil and Erena Allen was invited by the Bishop to serve as delegates to the USCCB Catholic Leaders Conference.   St. Anthony of Padua's delegation to the NBCC Congress XII consisted of the following leaders; Lillie Davis, Dorothy Baker, Andreia Hamilton, delmar Percival, Betty Houston, Thelma Williams, Jessie Bowens and Debra Drennon. Dr. Cherie Maiden, parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church will also participate in the presentation on August 20th.
