Karina Association Inc.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization registered in Baltimore, Maryland. Our Karina Café program offers Expressive Arts Therapy to people with developmental disabilities. It promotes inclusion and provide hope for families affected by disabilities. This program is designed to provide REST (Rest, Encouragement, Support, Tenderness, and Love) to families with physical, emotional, cognitive, special and social needs of their children. Karina Café allows free time for parents while their children, teens or young adults enjoy different activities. 

Our Mission is: To improve the quality of life and provide equal opportunities to children and young adults with disabilities through professional services, advocacy, and by raising public awareness.

Our Vision...
•To help establish community based services which work towards the best available practices by supporting and collaborating with all interested parties.
•To provide community-based support and services for disabled children and their families, instead of segregatiring and isolating those whose families have difficulty taking care of them.
•To prevent the institutionalization of disabled children by working with their families and professional decision makers.
•To promote early intervention and inclusion.
•To promote an increase in the number of skilled professionals working with disabled people.
•To disseminate information about best practices and available services.
