Kagyupa International Monlam Trust

The Kagyupa International Monlam Trust (KIMT) was registered on January 20, 2004 with His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje as its Chief Director. The Trust maintains a principal address at Sujata Bypass Road, Bodh Gaya, Gaya, Bihar - 824231, India.

The main activity of the KIMT is to organize the annual religious prayers for world peace held in Bodh Gaya and to organize teachings for monks, nuns and pilgrims. Principal charitable activities of the Trust involve providing free medical services, free meals and other contributions to assist the poor and the underprivileged. The Trust also focuses on environmental activities both locally and internationally. Through these activities, the Trust aims at raising awareness of local and global health and environmental issues.

KIMT organizes an annual Wellbeing Free Medical Camp (WFMC) during the Kagyu Monlam. Beneficiaries of these camps are the people from villages around Bodh Gaya. They receive free health check-ups, consultations and medicines.  They also receive minor surgeries and treatment of infections. Free diagnosis and initial management of the diseases are also provided. These help people in management of the diseases. Following which they can go for regular treatment.
