John Wray for Texas

John Wray (R- District 10) serves as State Representative for District 10 in the Texas House of Representatives.  John began his first term in the Texas House in January 2015. During his first term, he was assigned to the Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety, as well as the Committee on Ways & Means.


Prior to his election to the Texas House, John served 3 terms on the Waxahachie City Council, including a term as Mayor from 2013 to 2014.  John is a native of Waxahachie, where he attended public school. John earned a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M, and a law degree from UT Law School.  John moved back to his hometown of Waxahachie in 2002, where he practices law and operates a title company.

John and his wife, Michele, have been married for more than 19 years, and they have two children, Morgan and Patrick.  John and his family are active members of First United Methodist Church,  and they continue to participate in many local causes.
