Jessica Tangelder | Founder Host2Transform

In 2012 I started Host2Transform because I experienced a lack of connectivity, empowerment, and sense of community in the workplace.

I felt the urge to "be the change” and design a work culture of that was supportive and uplifting so I could flourish in my work. I started out by providing 20-minute "Fitness for the Mind & Network Sessions" that unlocked (self)empowerment for change and connectivity amongst my co-workers.

These sessions took off and soon peer L&D professionals requested a certified train-the-trainer program to design and apply the HOST practices in their own freelance or in-company work context. Soon I realised that I had found my purpose by solving my own frustration, namely: spreading (self)empowerment for change, with minimum structure and maximum ease, joy, and scalable impact.

I got approached by Google, Deutsche Welle, and Linkedin to design in-company immersive, blended, and experiential learning train-the-trainer sessions, which soon evolved into the Host2Transform Certification train-the-trainer program.

Today, as a business anthropologist, sociologist, master in international relations, applied Improvisation theatre practitioner, business consultant and global entrepreneur, I have the privilege to share today's modern, unconventional and impactful leadership and L&D practices (inspired by people and progressive-tech-spiritual-inclusive cities such as Ubud, San Francisco, New York and Amsterdam) in order to spread (self)empowerment for change across industries and the globe.

It’s my purpose to make these practices accessible and applicable for as many like-minded L&D and Leadership professionals as possible, and to invest our abundance of resources in social empowerment projects across the world.

Hosting Transformations is contagious and empowering. Alas, the world needs (y)our special gift to (self)empower for change in these VUCA - volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous - times.
