Jeff Lyons-Founder Storygeeks

 


 

Jeff Lyons is currently a story editor and development consultant at Kensington Entertainment, Burbank, California, where he directs the development of a slate of feature film, scripted TV, and reality TV projects. Jeff is an instructor through Stanford University's Online Writers Studio, where he teaches his popular  “Anatomy of a Premise Line” story development class, and he guest lectures on story structure and story development through the UCLA Extension Writers Program.

His story development workshops are available across the U.S., and they will be coming to the U.K., Ireland, the E.U., and Asia in 2015. His writing can be found in Script Magazine, where he writes his popular column: “Story Talk,” and in Writer’s Digest Magazine, as well as in The Writer Magazine, one of the oldest and most widely read writing magazines in the U.S. Jeff is the founder of Storygeeks, a professional services company offering story consulting, training and editorial services to screenwriters, novelists and nonfiction authors.  

In 2015, he will be publishing an two books: Anatomy of a Premise Line: 7 Steps to Foolproof Premise and Story Development and Rapid Story Development: 7 Steps to Becoming a Master Storyteller.
