Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council

 

Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, is an initiative established as part of the NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of NAMA. (To be used when in isolation and no other reference of NAMA)

 

Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council aims to empower women economically and socially through the crafts across the MENASEA and Central Asia regions. By representing both traditional and modern crafts and developing a fresh narrative for the sector, it will create new market opportunities, deliver social development programmes and vocational training, as well as preserve the skills and rich cultural heritage of the region for current and future generations.
