Irene Chavez

Irene Chavez has over 15 years of experience working with entrepreneurs at all stages of development. Her specialty is helping entrepreneurs navigate the procurement process, leverage certifications and manage their resources. Her expertise allows easy collaboration to bring resources and the support they need to be successful.


Irene has served in executive leadership positions with the Maestro Entrepreneur Center, City of San Antonio Economic Development Office, University Health System and UTSA. She has led teams and served as a small business liaison to continually empower small, minority and women-owned businesses. Irene enjoys developing programming, presenting to groups, and facilitating workshops.As an expert in supplier diversity and procurement, Irene has received the following awards:
