Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC), is a nonprofit organization that rescues wasted food to eliminate hunger, based in New York City. In its third year, RLC has already rescued 730,000 pounds of food from going to landfills and served more than half a million meals to those who are food insecure. RLC operates in 12 cities and is poised to rescue one million pounds of food rescued by the end of this year.
