Now in its 19th year, Highbridge Voices is the premier Bronx children's choir. The after-school program uses music to inspire excellence in the lives of children and teenagers living in the Highbridge community of the South Bronx. Highbridge is a low-income neighborhood located north of Yankee stadium and just across the old High Bridge from upper Manhattan. Students in the after-school program learn professional choral training, sing together, and work on their academic performance. Since 2006, more than 90% of Highbridge Voices' students have graduated from high school, and more than 80% have enrolled in college. Highbridge Voices has performed at Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, as well as on the CBS Early Show and before the U.S. Supreme Court
