HFGS PTO - Special Event Registration Page

Holy Family Parent Teacher Organization includes all parents of children registered in school. Much of the success of the school is due to the wonderful support and aid given by this organization. The PTO meetings are a very important form of commitment and it is, therefore, required that at least one parent attend each of the three general meetings as listed in the GS Parent-Student Handbook. These meetings are for parents, not children. They are listed in advance so that you can arrange for childcare. One service hour per family is earned by attending the general meetings. For each meeting missed there is a $30.00 fee.

 

The financial support of the PTO helps to keep down tuition costs and maintains a mutual spirit of cooperation between home and school in the interest of the children. Each family is required to pay the $30.00 PTO dues. This amount is due by September 15th. A separate check is to be written payable to Holy Family Grade School.

 

This new web link ( http://HFGSPTO.eventbrite.com) is created for families' service opportunities and your registration. An online registration of adult volunteers and service hours aim to complete the required 30 service hours. Please look at the listed volunteer opportunities per event and earn your hours. The earlier you serve, the better it is for you. Doing your hours provides more advantages. Your presence and involvement in school makes your child(ren) even prouder as they see their parents, guardians, and families actually engaged in most of our school activities. Thus, we encourage you to register.

 

You must be VIRTUS trained and /or fingerprinted when rendering service in the presence of children. Once you have registered, your name is as good as confirmed. If there would be any cancellation, you need to cancel your reservation through Eventbrite so that other parents can volunteer to replace your shift within 72 hours. Otherwise, a no show will mean a $20 bill per hour.

Terms and Conditions

1. Volunteers need to be Virtus-trained.  Certificates have to be current and will be verified upon check-in at time of service.  For Virtus training schedule, please visit www.virtusonline.org
 
2. Volunteers have to be at least 18 years of age.
 
3. If volunteer fails to perform service, family will be charged $ 20.00/hour for every hour missed.Refer to 2016-17 Parent Agreement.
 
4. If volunteer needs to cancel, notify school by email Ruben Martinez mtz.ruben@icloud.com or Josie Alejo josie.alejo@gmail.com at least 72 hours prior to date of service.  Failure to notify school will result in family being charged $ 20.00/hour for every hour missed.  Refer to 2016-17 Parent Agreement.
