Healthy Steps Diaper Bank

Healthy Steps Diaper Bank is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporaiton that was founded in 2013 by Susan Speese, Board President.

Our mission is to keep children clean, dry, and healthy.  Providing diapers to families in need, and teaching  healthy diapering techniques results is a healthier child, fewer doctor and ER visits, and parents that feel confident in providing a basic need for their children.

1 out of 3 families struggle to buy diapers. Although Pennsylvania offers programs such as WIC and Food Stamps (SNAP), diapers cannot be obtained through either of these programs. Without a sufficient supply of diapers, parents are forced to keep their babies in diapers longer than is healthy for the child or to even reuse diapers.

Healthy Steps Diaper Bank, the only diaper bank serving Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties, is working to fight diaper need in our community. Currently we are providing over 20,000 diapers per month to families in need. We accomplish this through partnerships with local service agencies. Healthy Steps Diaper Bank collects the diapers and then through these partnerships the diapers are distributed free of charge to families to supplement what they are currently able to purchase.

Healthy Steps Diaper Bank is registered with the PA Bureau of Charitable Organizations.
